Iconic Weapons Guide

Acquisition steps for selected base-game Iconic weapons: Lizzie, Satori, Jinchu-Maru, Byakko and Johnny's Malorian Arms 3516.

Iconic Weapons Guide

What makes a weapon Iconic

Iconic weapons have unique effects. In version 2.0 and later, upgrade them through the Crafting menu using item components to raise their tier. Keep weapons you want to use or display; selling or dismantling one can lose it.

Pistols and revolvers

Malorian Arms 3516 — Johnny's Power pistol. During 'Chippin' In', defeat Grayson on the Ebunike and take the gun when the objective directs you to it. Deciding Grayson's fate happens after you recover the weapon.

Overture is a regular Power revolver, not an Iconic. For an Iconic Overture variant, finish River Ward's side-job chain and receive Crash during 'Following the River'.

Lizzie — a Tech pistol at Lizzie's Bar in Kabuki. After 'The Space in Between', return to the basement near Judy's workspace and look for the pistol on a table in the adjoining room.

Blades

Satori — during 'The Heist', after T-Bug opens the penthouse balcony door, go upstairs to the rooftop landing pad. Defeat the guards and loot Saburo's AV before escaping the hotel.

Jinchu-Maru — loot Oda after defeating him during 'Play It Safe' in Japantown. Check his inventory before leaving the fight area.

Byakko — complete all eight of Wakako Okada's Westbrook gigs. After her reward message, collect the katana from V's apartment stash; it is not purchased from a shop.

Tips

Make a manual save before one-way mission areas such as Konpeki Plaza. In Phantom Liberty, the black-market vendor in Dogtown can sell some missed Iconics, but not every weapon or reward excluded by your choices.
